Why Dogs in Distress is so important

Dogs in Distress is a 100% volunteer organisation that has personally helped me. They cared for my father's dogs when they needed veterinary attention, collecting them from his home and discussing treatment with him over the phone when he couldn't bring them himself due to illness. I am forever grateful for their amazing help and want to raise as much money as possible through this sponsored Kilimanjaro climb to thank them. 100% of the money raised will go towards the vet costs and rehoming of the dogs in their care.

How you can support the climb

To support my climb, people can donate directly to Dogs in Distress through this website. My aim is to raise €100,000, or as close to it as I can get. To help Dogs in Distress directly, please visit their website dogsindistress.org.

A plea from the heart

Dogs have always been a part of my life; I've always had one, two, or three. But over the past 16 years of working with them as a dog groomer, I've developed a deeper understanding and respect for them. They are truly amazing creatures that would, and have, happily given their lives to each and every owner that loves and cares for them. They return that love 100-fold and are the most loyal companions you will ever know. They are the souls of the universe and deserve all the help we can give them when they are in need, so please help me to help them by donating to my climb or directly to dogsindistress.org. Thank you and dog bless x
